Battery Queue System EMACH BQS

Description of the BQS EMACH system

The intelligent battery queuing system is used to inform the truck operator which battery needs to be collected for operation. BQS indicates the battery in the group that is fully charged and cools down the longest. Thereby, the system helps in optimal and even use of all batteries in the fleet.

The ready-to-operate battery is indicated on a large display connected to the control cabinet and by means of a light signal integrated with the rectifier controller. After collecting the correct battery, the system looks for another one ready for operation. If the operator takes the wrong battery, the system signals this fact with sound and visual signs. Incorrect collections are reported in the local database, and in the online version of the system, e-mails are sent to the supervisor.

  • Cooperation with any rectifiers
  • Control of up to 256 rectifiers divided into 8 groups
  • Wireless communication between the control unit and controllers
  • Status display on any HDMI display
  • Loud alarm siren
  • Reporting incorrect use of batteries, lack of charged batteries and rectifier failures
  • Quick start-up time after a power outage – 2 minutes
  • Helps in even, rotating battery use - increased battery life
  • Queues batteries ready for use – maximized battery cooling time
  • Displays the next battery to use - the operator does not have to guess which battery to use
  • Reporting incorrect collections – better discipline of  forklift operators

Operation of the battery queuing function.

The intelligent battery queuing system helps to ensure even use of fleet batteries. A very common situation is that forklift operators use rectifiers and batteries located closest to the entrance to the charging bay, which means that batteries located further away are used less frequently. On the other hand, in large warehouses where many forklift operators work, it is difficult to ensure continuous transmission of information about which batteries were connected to the rectifiers and in what order.

The BQS control panel uses rectifier controllers to collect information about the progress of the battery charging process and selects the battery in the group that has completed charging and is cooling down the longest. The ID number of the rectifier from which the battery can be collected is displayed on the HDMI screen mounted in a selected visible place in the charging bay, and additionally, the controller connected to the rectifier has a green LED on.

The BQS system includes the following elements:

  1. CHBASE-16 control cabinet with software, MDM01 active megaphone and two integrated receiving antennas
  2. Up to 256 CHG4505 rectifier controllers or equivalents
  3. Optional additional receiving antennas
  4. Optional RFID card reader to control access to the charging bay
  5. Optional IP camera for visual recording of incorrect downloads and other events
  6. HDMI display (purchase and installation on the customer part)

Charger controller C4504

By default, the controller is mounted on the charger cable near the plug. The electrical connection is made using needle connectors inserted into the power cables. The controller is fixed on the cable with cable ties.

Each C4504 controller has integrated RGB LEDs. They enable visual indication of the battery that should be charged for operation. The controller can also indicate a faulty operation of the rectifier with a red diode.

Control cabinet

The control cabinet is the heart of the BQS EMACH queuing system. It aggregates information from all chargers using the C4504 charger controller. After processing the charging status information, it displays on the connected HDMI screen which battery in the group is charged and ready to be downloaded first.

Control cabinet

The standard element of the control cabinet equipment is an active loudspeaker. It allows you to play voice messages about incorrect battery charging and the need to check the electrolyte level while charging the battery. If necessary, the loudspeaker can be mounted up to 20 m from the control cabinet.
